William Carey School Community Outreach - May 12, 2006
Dr. Anita takes a group of William Carey students out into the surrounding rural community.  There they can apply their
in-class training.    This group of students are from Zambia, Malawi and South Africa.  Two of the students speak Zulu.
The team leaves the school and walk a half-mile  to the home of two women who are regularly attending the Sunday
worship service held in Zulu on the campus of the William Carey School.   They will host the outreach to their neighbors.

These women were screened for obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure.   The risks of these conditions were explained to them and they were invited
back for more education.  Both women identified themselves as AmaZioni which is a blend of traditional African religion and Christianity.  We prayed
with these women at the end of their visits.
The woman in the middle has been attending the Sunday morning service at the William Carey School.  She expressed her appreciation for our visits with her mother
who has diabetes.  The two students on either side of her were able to witness to another young woman in the household and invited her to church as well.
